You can now signpost to a new 6-week Mindfulness & Wellbeing Group for Ethnic Minority Women

Mind Axis has just launched a new six-week Mindfulness & Wellbeing Group for Ethnic Minority Women in Hounslow, starting on Sunday 13 October at the Hounslow Arts Centre, residents can sign-up here. 

Across six sessions, residents will connect with others, build mental health skills, and grow in a supportive community—all over a cup of tea.

The programme provides in-person group support sessions and free access to a mindfulness-based CBT digital course (Be Mindful).

Topics explored in the group, include:

  • Specific Challenges: Addressing barriers faced by ethnic minority women and navigating multicultural contexts.
  • Coping Strategies: Learning mindfulness techniques and coping strategies that resonate with your cultural perspective.
  • Validation: Creating space to validate each other’s life experiences, offering support through shared stories, and acknowledging the realities of your journey.
  • Resilience and Empowerment: Building emotional resilience and empowering you to thrive in environments that may not always feel supportive.
  • Community and Connection: Fostering a sense of belonging by connecting with others who share similar backgrounds and experiences.
