- when out and about.
Organisers Hounslow Adult Social Care and the Hounslow Safeguarding Board will be joined by an exciting line up local providers offering information, advice and some useful giveaways.
The ASC (Adult Social Care) Community Information Team will be attending on both days with The Gazebo, Adult Social Care ‘pop up’ information shop to provide advice on care and support options and answer your specific questions.
On Tuesday 19 November, residents can bring along their old worn-out slippers and swap them for a brand-new pair for free!* This is part of the New Stay Steady and Active Campaign, aimed at helping residents to increase activity levels, test balance abilities and reduce the risks of falls.
It is important to have proper slippers as they can play a significant role in preventing falls. Old, worn-out or the incorrect slippers can lead to serious injuries, resulting in hospitalisation and a loss of independence and confidence. The new slippers we are offering are designed with special features including secure fastenings and sturdy soles.
*Please note that residents MUST bring an old pair of slippers to swap them for a new pair. This operates on a first come first served basis, and one pair per person. Men’s and women’s styles available, while stocks last and subject to size availability.
