It is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK.
It also helps people who don’t see themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.
This year’s theme is ‘Putting Carers on the Map.’
We are asking everyone to help us raise awareness of carers and to thank them for the invaluable role they carry out.
Ahead of Carers Week, The Adult Social Care Information Shop will be popping up in the atrium West Middlesex Hospital Thursday, 6 June 2024, from 10am – 3pm.
Hounslow Council publishes a regular factsheet called Information for Carers. It lists local, national and council services, voluntary organisations and other sources of advice and support that may be useful to share with a resident/patient who is a carer.
The factsheet includes information on:

- Carer Peer Support Groups
- Physical and Mental Health services
- Help with practical caring tasks
- Getting out and about
