As part of the upcoming NHS #AskAboutAsthma 2023 campaign a range of daily webinars have been developed for stakeholders across the spectrum of CYP asthma systems and will focus on children and young people’s asthma care. The NHS are hosting the webinars daily from 11 – 15 September, and booking is now open.

Primary care webinar (Tuesday 12 September: 1.00pm – 2.00pm):
This webinar will update you on developments in children and young people's asthma care, with a focus on addressing health inequalities through primary care. We will hear from Stephen Goldring who will provide a refresh on children and young people’s asthma in primary care and Tonia Myers on 48 hour reviews with Niamh McLaughlin chairing. Pharmacy webinar (Tuesday 12 September: 7.30pm – 8.30pm):
This evening webinar will highlight best practice and innovation within CYP asthma, with a specific focus on how pharmacies can improve equitable access to care. We will hear from Sukeshi Makhecha on using Discharge Medicines Service effectively for CYP asthma, Darush Attar-Zadeh and Alison Summerfield on upskilling North West London pharmacists to support and identify high risk CYP asthma patients and Reena Patel on South East London’s pharmacy incentive scheme with Steve Tomlin chairing. Nursing webinar (Wednesday 13 September: 1.00pm – 2.00pm):
This webinar focuses on the vital role that nurses can play in reducing health inequalities in children and young people's asthma care. We will hear from Tori Hadaway on delivering group consultations in schools, Alison Summerfield on MART (Maintenance and Reliever Therapy) and from Laura King on the lessons learned from the North East London asthma practitioner pilot with Pippa Hall chairing. Air pollution webinar (Friday 15 September: 1.00pm – 2.00pm):
This webinar is aimed at anyone interested in air pollution and how it affects children and young people with asthma. We will hear from Jonathan Grigg on new and old inhaled toxins and children with asthma, Larissa Lockwood from Global Action Plan on the work they are doing to improve area-wide air pollution and air pollution in and around schools and Ian Mudway on the health impacts of air pollution in children.
