Boobs & Bingo, an event designed specifically for women with learning disabilities, autism and neurodiversity in Hounslow who wish to learn about cancer prevention in an accessible and inclusive environment. The event on Friday, 4th October, is Holy Trinity Church.
It will cover all aspects of Breast, Cervical & Bowel care, the signs to look out for, information about screening services and who residents can speak to if they have concerns. The women only event provides a safe space to talk freely with health professionals and health care staff, who will be delivering accessible talks throughout the afternoon. By mixing the health messages with some good old-fashioned fun, it is hoped that visitors will be able to take advantage of all the preventative measures that are on offer.
The event will include a fun and informal tea party with lots of bright pink balloons, plenty of tea and cake and the chance to meet new people and share experiences, with some guest appearances. And if all that wasn’t enough to put a smile on your boat race, the whole event will be compered in fine style by the Pearlie Queen of Fulham.
